Who am I?
Well, let’s start with who I’m not. I’m NOT a cinematography "expert". I’m NOT an academy award winning director. In fact I’ve never even shot a feature film (not really my thing).
I started out in 2013 doing freelance commercial work with nothing but a DSLR, a Glidecam, and a dream :)
Over the years I built a commercial production agency called CELADORA shooting cinematic storytelling content for big brands. I then shifted my focus to helping other videographers grow their business and improve their cinematography. Since 2016 I’ve trained tens of thousands of filmmakers on my methods, and I’ve helped many of them build their own companies.
In addition to creating some of the world’s best resources for budding filmmakers, I still run my production company and service our clients today.

What kind of camera do I have to use?
I’ve designed this course to be full of practical, timeless information that will work with any camera. Yes, lighting properly can make ANY camera look better (including iPhones, GoPros, or even a webcam!). For best results, I recommend using a camera that has manual exposure controls. If you’re using an iPhone you just need to download an app to get those controls.
